Zarafa combines the usabillity of Outlook with the stability and flexibility of a Linux server. Not only is Outlook supported natively, but users can also use the web 2.0 Outlook "Look & Feel" web access, all ActiveSync compatible mobile devices and Blackberry via the Blackberry Enterprise Server.
Zarafa allows you to share your mailbox with colleagues via an advanced permission system compatible with and controllable from AD (and?) Open LDAP. Group mailboxes and public folders can be used for all incoming mails with server-side rules.
Share your calendars, plan your meetings with free/busy information and send meeting requests or book resources from either Outlook client or the Zarafa Webclient - or even use any CalDAV-compatible calendar system. Contacts and tasks are of course managed from within Zarafa and syncronized to your Active Sync compatible mobile device.
The presentation will include a brief introduction to an Open Source Exchange alternative as well as a technical walk-through including integration strategies to other products.
